And just wanting to say what a fantastic job you did on Saturday entertaining so many children, they really loved all the apparatus and the tight rope etc. and it gave all ages something to do – and selfishly, most importantly it took my mind off having to think about the 30-odd 3 year olds.

Re Circus Skills and Katy Kartwheel

Lighthouse is a Christian Charity, which first began in Great Missenden over 15 years ago.  Since then, there have been other Lighthouses established in Hazlemere, Princes Risborough, Burnham and Marlow. 

In 2006 we started a Lighthouse in High Wycombe using the Royal Grammar School . The main activity of Lighthouse is to run a holiday week each year at the end of July, for children between the ages of 4 and 11. It is run by Christians from local churches of all denominations in the town and the surrounding area, with the aim of promoting the Christian faith, primarily through a combination of teaching, performing arts, games, music, handicrafts and a range of other activities.

In 2008 we asked Katy to spend a week working with a selection of the under 10s age group and run her circus skills workshop. This was to be run every afternoon and was to culminate in a show to trustees, helpers and the rest of the under 10s on the Friday afternoon.

There is no better way of describing the fun the children had than describing the show at the week end. All the children had something to perform from juggling to peddle racing to a whole variety of tricks. They all received a huge confidence boost from the ovation of deserved applause for the success of each circus skill.

Katy interacted excellently with all the children and was able to get the best out of each one of them. I would have no hesitation in recommending her Circus Skills workshop to any organization and we can’t wait to see what she will achieve this year.

Just want to say a massive thank you to yourself and Gemma for making adams party a massive success ! Adam  said to me last night that you were wicked !!!
And when dropping him off at school all the children were talking about it in the classroom!
I know you and Gemma went out of your way to get so much in and more than you normally do for a 5 year olds party and I really appricate that!!!!
You had great control of all 30 children and the only time it was a little crazy was when it was dinner and when you left!!!
I hope it wasn't too manic And not too stressful!

Hi Katy,

It was great to finally meet you on Saturday, and thanks again for the huge
effort you put in. Your workshop was a great success.

We are definitely running the fete next year and would very much like you to
attend again. We're provisionally looking at the same weekend, which would make
the actual date the 10th September, but I will be able to give you a final
decision on the date later in the week.

So, can I count you in?
